Twinkle, twinkle, little bat, how I wonder what you're at.

So, how've you been? I believe the last time we spoke I was lamenting the lack of funds to buy salt and vinegar squares and ribena. Not much has changed in that respect I'm afraid, but here is a quick update of things that have:

1. My tan faded after approx. 1.5 minutes back in the UK.
2. I have swapped dorm-room bunk beds for a pine wonderland in Finsbury Park.
3. I no longer have to endure the constant breaking of F's flipflops but now hear the clipclop of his big, shiny city brogues in my nightmares.
4. Due to the lack of sunshine in our fair capital, I am now much more able to control my body temperature. Unless on the tube. Or the bus. Or inside. Or wearing a coat.
5. I am the proud co-owner of a Godbean named Harry and a cat named Shirley.

And that's pretty much it.

After almost four months in the big smoke, I am still finding my feet whilst trying to keep a tight grip on my head. Kinda proving difficult but I'm hoping that my shiny new blog will encourage me to get out there and write about the things I find, the beauty I see, the words I read and the people I meet. I hope that you'll join me on my adventures in londonland, and if nothing else, I am certain that by the end we will all be in agreement that salt and vinegar squares are the most underrated crisp in the business. Not the cheese and onion ones though, they taste kinda funky.

Would you tell me, please, which way I ought to go from here?

“Would you tell me, please, which way I ought to go from here?”
“That depends a good deal on where you want to get to,” said the Cat.
“I don’t much care where—” said Alice.
“Then it doesn’t matter which way you go,” said the Cat.
“—so long as I get SOMEWHERE,” Alice added as an explanation.
“Oh, you’re sure to do that,” said the Cat, “if you only walk long enough.” - Lewis Carroll; Alice’s Adventure’s In Wonderland, Chapter 6.
Welcome to my new blogging home; if you are looking to read entertaining anecdotes, charming tales and enthralling adventures then may I recommend that you pay a visit to my old blog (sob) - gapyahchronicles.blogspot.com.

However, if you're prepared to persevere with Beatrice's adventures in Londonland, then perhaps together we can figure out which way I ought to go from here...
